Ben's BDAy Card

I did a card for Ben and then at the last moment decided to do a new one. My new brayer is great and I used Kaleidacolor fresh greens and then cuttlebugged and then ran over it with the stamp pad to give greater lift to the raised bubbles. Murray gave me the pukeko stamp - a New Zealand swamp hen, several years ago, but I had never used it, the swirls in the BG make for a ferny look. I added Amazing Glaze after colouring and a Happy Birthday to finish it off.

Watercolour Crayons

This card started with the use of all the pink crayons in my watercolour set and I masked each section to pick up the definition between each colour. When dry I stamped the image with a light stamp pad and then with the darker to give a shadow effect. I used the scor-pal to give more interest, applied a ribbon and the spell binder scallop & happy birthday circle. The hardest part was finding cardboard to look good with the colour of the background. :)

Brayer Card

So thrilled with my new brayer... my old one was getting past it and wasn't transferring as well as it used to. I used gloss card, my favourite leaf stamp and stamped the image with versamark ink. I brayered on top with kaleidacolor bouquet stamp pad, a ribbon to highlight, tied in a knot and then on cream card stamped the image again and added the sentiment on top. Voila, a quick and pretty card...

Red & White ATC Swap

This is the theme for the ATC Swap through NZ Stampers for this month, I have signed up to do a 6-4-5 swap each month through 2010. Well, we all have days when our artwork looks great and we decide to add that little extra and just like that it doesn't work. Today was one of those days, I reached this point and decided to add glitter and it looked awful so had to redo these but I decided that it didn't matter and this time no glitter. I am really pleased with the final look, distress inks in fired brick and worn lipstick - love these inks so easy to work with.

Tapestry Technique

I love this technique by technique Junkies, it is a sure success card. I masked the BG and used my Kaleidacolor stamppad to do the background. I am hunting out old techniques at the moment to use, oldies but goodies.
